Social Distanced Activities: Being Together while Six Feet Apart

Social Distanced Activities: Being Together while Six Feet Apart

For many of us, finding fun and Covid-19 safe ways to hang out with our friends has been challenging. It is important to stay 6 feet apart and be outside in order to protect our physical health and prevent the spread of Coronavirus but it is equally important for our mental health to see our friends and maintain a social life. Fortunately for us, the Bay Area is surrounded by beautiful nature which makes it great for social distanced activities.

Here are some fun hiking trails, parks and beaches for your next social distanced adventures.

Beach Days: These San Francisco beaches overlook the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands. As parts of the Gate National Recreation Area, there are many parking spots and walking trails available around the area. They are also very close to the Golden Gate Park and San Francisco Zoo. Additionally, they have fire rings for night time social distancing and beautiful views all day long.

Hiking Trails: After spending many months stuck inside the house with family members, hiking is a great way to get some exercise and spend time with friends safely. These hiking trails throughout San Francisco are of different lengths and challenge levels so you can find a hike that is just right for you. They also provide viewpoints to the beautiful nature, residential areas, and Presidio in San Francisco.

Picnic Locations: Open outdoor grassy areas and parks are other great places to spend time with friends. If you want a more lazy activity, bring blankets, snacks, and books for a social distanced picnic. These San Francisco recreation parks are protected areas full of fresh air and nature and are great for having a relaxing, beautiful day with friends.
